ONLINE ENGLISH TUTOR NEEDED (BUFFALO)

About us

Welanguage International, LLC., located at Buffalo, NY, provides language training services to foreign language learner. The current core business is our English tutoring service. As our English tutor at Welanguage, your job is to teach Chinese people to speak English. Your students are in China and you'll teach via the internet. The students could be business people, college students, high school students, middle school student, elementary school students or even kindergarten children.

Job Description

Using software provided by us, you will teach one-to-one English classes to students living in china online.

Every class is 40 minutes. You will prepare well before every class. Since all you students will be non-native English language speaker, while teaching, you might need to adjust your speed of speaking depending on your students' ability of English.

You will teach courses like, free conversation, business English, primary, middle or high school English and New Concept English. After training, you will get familiar with our courses and teaching materials including E-textbooks and other course teaching materials.

After training, you will work at home or any place with strong internet signals as you like.

Requirements:
All majors are welcome.

Must be a native speaker with good pronunciation and be able to speak slowly and clearly

Outgoing, patient, responsible, willing to teach

Comfortable working with computers

Must have a laptop (must not be a Mac), a web camera and a microphone

Fast learner

Stable schedule, can work here one year or more, at least half a year

People who know some mandarin are highly preferred but not required

Previous ESL teaching experience or online teaching experience highly preferred but not required.

Work schedule:
In fall and winter:
6:00am-11:00am in everyday and 7:00pm-11:00pm on Friday and Saturday

In spring and summer:
7:00am-12:00am in everyday and 8:00pm-12:00am on Friday and Saturday

Our working time changes twice every year due to the daylight saving change.

Positions:
Part time
You will fill out a sheet during the interview, check all the time you can work and you'll be scheduled with classes according to your availability and you will get paid by hour.
Base salary
Salary starts from $8.00/hr to $16.00/hr

Full time
You will work 30 hours per week as a full time tutor.
Salary for full time tutors is ranging from $1300-$1700 according to your work time.

Training:
If you're hired, you'll first be trained for a few weeks. Training consists of two parts.

Part1-Online training
You will first be trained how to use our software and watch some sample videos and read some training materials. These will be conducted online.


Part2-Simulated classes
After you finish the first training, you will teach simulated classes under supervision and you need to come to our office to work. After the training period, you can choose to work from home.

In this newly created position, the Sales Associate's primary responsibility involves selling and promoting the companies vast array of industry leading products through a dealer direct network within one of the above designated geographic areas. The primary focus of this territory or regional business development Rep is to develop relationships with the right type of dealers with future business in mind. Last but not least, part of the job involves helping dealers in their ongoing activities and representing the company in a professional manner.

Duties / Activities / Responsibilities:
- Aggressively grow sales in assigned geographic territory and as determined by the National Sales Manager.
- Develop and grow traditional and non-traditional dealer base.
- Visit dealers to demonstrate new and current products, show samples and write orders.
- Schedule sales calls and promote the company to all dealers in assigned territory.
- Quote pricing, prepare proposals and provide information to dealers regarding terms, sales and availability of product including stocked warehouse products.
- Provide product training on existing and new product to dealers and relevant dealer sales and support staff.
- Work closely with dealers and plan and support weekend events including product demos, cooking and product merchandising in their showroom.
- Assist and participate in national, regional and local promotions including trade and consumer shows where applicable.
- Present and book business through monthly specials and early buy programs.
- Actively communicate company activities and events through 'Social Media' such as Facebook and Twitter.
- Prepare monthly sales report detailing sales, activities, significant events, competition, etc.
- Extensive territory travel and weekend work as required.
- The ability to travel throughout USA and Canada from time to time.
- The ability to work from home office environment

Knowledge / Education / Experience:

- Must have experience of supporting and growing product sales in a defined sales territory within the specialty retail environment.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work independently and with limited supervision.
- Time management skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills including knowledge of e-mail, PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Social Media applications.
