We're looking for some writers to help us take on a large writing project.

This is a Results-Only Work Environment.

The work is writing articles on stocks - though a technical knowledge of stocks and/or markets is not necessary. It's much more of a research job than anything else.

Driver service filling SEVERAL positions due to expansion (NW Suburbs)

Designated Drivers of Illinois, Inc, a company based out of Rockford, is looking to expand to the Northwest Chicago Suburbs and we are looking for qualified individuals to help us. Our mission is to reduce DUI related injuries through action and education. We do this by building a group of professional volunteers that are interested in being a part of the action. We are currently looking for:

Market General Manager
The Market General Manager is responsible for overseeing the Northwest Suburbs Operation. This includes:
administration:budgeting, reports, marketing
operations: driver staffing, coordinating and disciplinary process
sales: oversee Account Managers and the contracts that they initiate.

This is a commission based position and the individual hired will be brought onboard as a directing board member.


Team Driver
This position allows you to pick the dates and times that you prefer to work. We like to have our team drivers work with friends or relatives, so if you are interested in driving with a partner, please feel free to encourage a friend, BF/GF, husband/wife or whomever to apply to drive with you. Team drivers respond to bars much like a taxi would when someone has found that they have too much to drink. One driver drives the customer and their guests home in the customers car while the other driver follows behind as the "chase vehicle" to pick you up at the completion of the call. Most of our team drivers actually go out together on Friday and Saturday nights and jump between bars, hang out, play pool, listen to music, drink some sodas (usually on the house) while waiting for calls. This is a paid per call volunteer position, so you only get paid if you get calls. (Our other drivers find that hanging out in the bars talking to strangers during their shift usually helps them get rides). The pay is $10 per driver per ride plus tips. If you only get one ride in a 6 hour shift, you only get your $10 plus tips, however, if you were to get say 3 rides in an hour, you're making $30+ per hour. So it all depends on how well you sell yourself and the service when you are out and about. You could make a killing! Team drivers can also cover weekday nights as well as day hours all week if they want. We would like to have people on call to cover rides when people find themselves stuck at a medical appointment due to medication. These trips may include bringing a patient and their car back from an ER or dentist.

Hourly Driver
This position allows you to pick the dates and times that you prefer to work. This driver works solo with the customers. When a customer calls to hire a chauffeur, we schedule it and then find one of our drivers that best suits that client's needs and personality. Our clients may call for a chauffeur for a business trip/appointment, appointment for their car to go to the mechanic, medical appointment involving anesthesia, parties, concerts, sporting events or so much more. Our drivers will drive to the client's chosen point of pickup, leave their car and hop in the customers car and drive them anywhere they want to go. When dropping the client off, you drop them at the door, open/close car doors for them, load/unload luggage. . .etc. You then drive to the back of the parking lot or in an open area and park until the client calls or texts that they are ready. You then pick them up at the door again and go on to the next stop. The pay is $10 per hour depending on location plus tips.

Account Manager
The Account Manager is a commission based position and the individual is directly responsible for soliciting contracts and restaurants, bars, nightclubs,convention centers, doctors offices, etc. Commissions will be negotiated at the time of appointment and will be a percentage of the contract closed. Account Managers may also sell advertising and earn a percentage of the total advertising sale.

Call-Taker/Dispacther
The Call-Taker/Dispatcher position is a work from home position. The call taker will recieve the call for service, process the call in our dispatch system and then assign the call to a driver. The call taker position is a volunteer position. We plan to create a "work from home" call center after we have enough trained dispatchers and sell the service to other transportation companies. At this point, any volunteer dispatcher wishing to gain employment would be automatically hired.


Driver Applicants MUST:
- be at least 21 years old
- have a valid drivers license
- have an acceptable 36 month Motor Vehicle Record
- have NO felonies on a criminal history check
- have NO prior driving convictions in the past 3 years (no DUI's ever)
- have reliable car and insurance
- be able to drive a standard transmission
- have a cell phone (Android is best because there is an Android app that we can use to send dispatch info to your phone)
