Chief Programmer (Raleigh / Chapel Hill)
The Manna Network, with offices in New York, Austin and Research Triangle Park provides technical solutions for the advertising, marketing, and communications industry aimed at heightening engagement and driving impressions through our location-based engagement platform.
The Chief Programmer is responsible for the underlying architecture for the software solution as well as overseeing the work being done by other software engineers working on the project. The person in this position also acts as a mentor for new and/or less experienced developers as well as for all the members on the development team. He / she also has supervisory responsibilities such as delegating work, ensuring projects come in on time and under budget and also serves as an interface between developers and management.
Chief Programmer
Here are the basic duties of the position
• Oversee the development team of between two to ten software developers
• Serve as an interface between management and development team
• Serve as technical advisors to management and provide programming perspective on requirements
• Mentor developers on the team and maintain a positive work environment as well as continually review the solution, development process and identify areas that need improvement
• Act as technical expert and organize the efforts of the development team to ensure the successful delivery of client projects
• Interface directly with clients to establish expectations and identify gaps within the delivery process
• Provide project status reports during weekly meetings and work directly with the VP of Development to identify development strategies
• Provide development solutions as part of day to day responsibilities
• Represent the company at various technology events
Here are the basic skill requirements for the position
• 7-10 years of development experience
• Working knowledge of multiple programming languages
• Basic project / time management
• Effective communications
• Mentorship
• Strong working knowledge of Agile scrum
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment
• Interpersonal skills to work closely with other teams and clients in a team-like manner. Upbeat, positive attitude

We are looking for a highly motivated Front End Developer to join our Manna Network team working in our New York office. This person must be able to work independently and collaboratively with the rest of the team to ensure solution cohesiveness. The focus will be on creating rich, innovative, high-powered user interfaces to utilize the reporting capabilities of our Ad Network platform. The person in this role will work with other developers to implement consistent and flexible interfaces in HTML and CSS and employ JavaScript to bring them to life
Front End Software Engineer HTML/CSS/JavaScript
Here are the basic duties of the position
• Work closely with other software engineers and product management
• Create clean, maintainable code using HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Advocate for best practices, great usability and exceptional quality
• Work with team lead to make UX strategy decisions
• Design information architecture, navigation flows, etc.
• Create sketches, wireframes and prototypes
• Design and run low-overhead usability tests
Here are the basic skill requirements for the position
• Expert knowledge of HTML/CSS with focus on cross-browser compatibility
• Expert knowledge of W3C standards and familiarity with the Web Standards Project community
• Familiarity with JS 1.5, cross-browser DOM, XHR
• Experience with JavaScript & JQuery
• Solid experience with JavaScript and AJAX
• Experience with designing end-user, web-based applications
• Proficiency with Photoshop or related tools
• User Interface design knowledge & YUI is a plus
• Experience with version control system (SVN a plus)
• Strong attention to detail and a feeling of pride and ownership over the quality of our product
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
