JOB TITLE: TELEPHONIC HEALTH COACH/HEALTH SCREENING MANAGER

COMPANY/DIVISION: Healthtrax, Inc. HealthASSIST Corporate Wellness Division

LOCATION: Rhode Island - Hiring in RHODE ISLAND for part time health coach to serve RI Clients both on site and telephonic coaching.

WORK SCHEDULE: Flexible Telecommute (Work-at-Home)/Seasonal Onsite - Must be located in RI.

COMPENSATION: Negotiable

STATUS: Part-time, 15 hours per week, Additional hours Jan-Feb and as assigned throughout the year.

Must have CHES or similar certification and hands-on experience conducting telephonic coaching and on-site health screenings.


The Telephonic Health Coach/ Health Screening Coordinator is directly responsible for planning and executing several activities involved with delivering health and productivity management services to employer groups. Working closely with the HealthASSIST Director, will ensure that the corporate client's service commitments are delivered above expectations. Functions include: Telephonic Health Coaching (75%)/Program Coordination (25%).

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Telephonic Health Coaching (75%) -- Work-at-home
Health Coaching responsibilities include delivering prevention/lifestyle intervention services focusing on nutrition, physical activity, weight management and reduction of risk for preventable chronic disease using behavior modification and coaching techniques via one-on-one telephonic counseling. Also functions as a personal health advisor to assist clients in navigating the health care system to maximize care while reducing unnecessary health care costs. Utilizes Intrinsic Coaching Methodology.


PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/WORKING CONDITIONS:

The Health Promotion Coordinator will be primarily a telecommute (work-at- home) and occasional on-site at customer location. During January and February, there will be significant travel locally to coordinate and manage a major health screening event. There will be infrequent travel to various Healthtrax, corporate client locations, company activities and community events. During work site events this individual may be exposed to light lifting and prolonged periods of standing or sitting.


QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree required; preferably in health education, nutrition, exercise physiology or closely related field

• Certification in Intrinsic Coaching, preferred

• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision

• Hands-on experience in wellness programming and biometric screening

• Minimum two years of experience in direct education and/or coaching with individuals for disease prevention, health promotion and behavior change.

• Experience in PC-based word processing and database documentation (Microsoft Suite and Internet)

• Must demonstrate insight into human behavior and have the ability to communicate and interact with individuals at varying levels of skill and education preparation

• Current knowledge of disease prevention (cardiovascular and diabetes) and basic understanding of exercise principles, nutrition and weight management

• Must stay abreast of current health promotion, disease prevention, and community development trends for proper delivery of services

• Must complete the Healthtrax training checklist and attend on-going periodic training sessions as schedule and required.
