Controls Engineer (Rochester, NY)

Local Automation Company (Rochester NY) seeking a Contract Software Controls Engineer. 1099 Contractors are welcome. Co-op students with this same experience are welcome.

Job Description:

Software design and debug of industrial controls for various custom automated test and assembly machines. Utilize PC and PLC based programming languages; industrial touch screens; robotic, stepper and servo motor controls; machine vision; test systems; pneumatics and hydraulics; and much more. Emphasis will be on use of PLC/HMI and robotics languages in an industrial environment.

Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering with software concentrations, or equivalent experience.

Must be self-motivated with hands-on experience, proven leadership qualities, strong written and oral communication skills, and ability to work as leader or part of a team in a fast paced, results-oriented environment.

Ability to work alone and must have self discipline.

Experience:
C#, C++, Visual Studio 2003/2005/2008/2010, Visual Basic, VBA, LabView, Measurement Studio Microsoft SQL, Excel, Word, Access, AutoCAD Allen-Bradley Beckhoff (TwinCAT), RSLogix5000, FactoryTalkView Studio, FactoryTalkTransactionManager Siemens Step7, WinCC Flex Telemecanique Unity, Concept, PL7 Epson, Fanuc, ABB, Denso, Intelligent Actuator, or other robotic programming languages Cognex Insight, VisionPro, or other industrial vision programming. Must be able to program Allen Bradley PLC's.
