WORK AT HOME HOLIDAY AGENT ( 1099 IC ) (DC, VIRGINIA, MARYLAND)
Blooms Today, a National sales and marketing company for the floral industry, is seeking Independent Contractors (1099) to take sales orders and assist with customer inquiries for the 2012 Mother's Day floral holiday.
The dates for this temporary assignment are between Monday, May 7, 2012 through Monday, May 14, 2012.
During the contract period you will be paid a commission equal to the number of contract hours fulfilled multiplied by a rate of $15.00 per hour.
Ideal candidates will have:
Prior experience as Independent Contractor (MUST have work-at-home call experience)
Scheduling availability for a minimum of six (6) hours per day.
Computer technical skills to join web meetings, set up Instant Messaging account, navigate web-based order entry systems and complete online self-paced training modules.
Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively through electronic forums (ie., email, Instant Messaging, etc.).
Excellent phone manner to assist with customer sales and inquiries.
Dedicated land line with the ability to disable call waiting and call forwarding (MANDATORY).
Qualified candidates will have:
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
High level of motivation and professional phone manner combined with strong sales skills.
Secure, private area in home to take inbound sales and customer service calls.
Work station free from all noise and distractions during your scheduled work shift.
Highly PC literate and have own PC with reliable internet connection.
Email account with a professional user name
Minimum Hardware, Software, Workstation Specifications:
Cable or DSL Provider (no wireless or satellite), VOIP compatible.
Computer Hardware: 1.8 GHZ Processor (Minimum of Pentium 4 processor or equivalent required); 1GB of RAM
Telephone Requirement: Dedicated phone line with the ability to disable call waiting, call forwarding, etc. No cellular phones are permitted. Services such as Magic Jack that connect through USB port are not permitted. Telephone must have headset capability (headset required).

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for both the architecture and implementation of the backend persistence needs for large multiparadigm content management system central to our business. More than just diagrams and whitepapers, you will be charged with the implementation of your vision. Your role will include evolving our data management strategy to best accommodate a diverse set of requirements. In short, this position could be described as a DBA for the modern age.
SCOPE
This is an extremely hands-on position, with intense, daily interaction with all members of the team. Fast-paced, flexible, and innovative mindset required.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrable, extensive database design and development experience using SQL based servers and/or XML repositories.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
• Architect, Design and develop data tier of product
• Work with client-side, server side team members to support business needs
• Participate in Technical design and code reviews
• Perform load tests and play key role in performance optimization of data tier
• Guide Infrastructure team on system specs for data tier
• Work in Agile development environment for rapid and maximum through put
• Monitor and report progress on Project schedule to Project Manager and Team lead
• Excellent communication skills
QUALIFICATIONS
• Min. 5 years' database development, design and architecting experience
• Strong experience with both and no sql
• Experience with both structured, unstructured and semistructured database paradigms
• Sql and xml repository design
• Setup, administration of databases and index management
• Performance improvements for indexing strategies
• Experience with data warehousing concepts such as ETL and OLAP
• Experience with: Mongodb, xquery db (marklogic, exist), sql
• Nice to have: lucene, hadoop, hbase, cassandra, couchdb
LOCATION
College Park, Maryland. There will be opportunity to work from home on occasion.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Travel will be required on occasion. The company has a number of business units across the United States. Travel requirements for this position though not guaranteed should be less than 20% of normal daily work.

Our client, a specialized call center service provider, has an IMMEDIATE NEED as it expands its services in the health care and pharmaceutical market. We are currently seeking several medical interviewers that are bilingual Spanish and English as we expand this service throughout the globe. The position is a flexible, part-time and 100% work from home/telecommuting position.
In this position you will:
- work from home as an independent contractor with flexible hours
- answer inbound calls from patients
- read a pre-written script and asking the scripted medical qualifier questions (per industry requirements)
- accurately enter data into the computer system
-Min 4-year degree, prefer experience or interest in health sciences/healthcare.
